In addition to the basic slew of tools commonly used in grading, we also developed our own tools to make grading quicker and more accurate.

FLAW MV detection system

Our proprietary FLAW Machine Vision detection system is capable of detection centering and edge-wear issues at just a click of a button.

Edge-wear Detection

The algorithm detects edge-wear as being white colouration extending from the edge. Images and flaws are displayed side-by-side for rapid identification.

Edge-wear Detection

After the operator removes irrelevant points, the algorithm then marks the amount of white space present as a percentage of the entire border, for quick tabulation of the edge grade.

Centering Detection

The algorithm detects borders and marks them in their pixel values.

The ratios are computed and a centering tolerance is given, allowing for a direct comparison to the grading standards.

Surface Flaw Detection (In development)

Surface flaw detection can be particularly challenging, since flaws can sometimes only be illuminated from one angle, preventing detection of other flaws.

Counterfeit Detection (In development)

Infrared, UV and high resolution microscopy can be used to detect different printing techniques that can identify cards as counterfeits.
